Verdura Golf Club

Italy, Sardinia & Sicily

Set on 230 hectares of olive groves and countryside, with almost 2 kilometres of private Mediterranean coastline, the Verdura Golf & Spa Resort allows guests to enjoy a golf holiday in 5-star luxury. There are 203 rooms and suites onsite which overlook the Mediterranean, with the added charm of onsite activities and fine dining.

Golf Courses

Verdura Resort is currently offering one superb composite 18-hole championship course similar to the one used in the Sicilian Open. The course represents golfing excellence at Verdura, as it is made up of a number of sea facing and more challenging holes from both the East and West Course in order to offer the most exciting and memorable course play. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, the 9-hole short course , the practice range facilities, pitch and putt, Performance Institute, and Golf Academy are open and fully operational.

West Course

The West Golf Course is a delight to play for golfers wanting incredible views. The final 4 holes steal the show. The 15th and 17th are relatively short hole with views of the sea to compliment, but the 16th and 18th are right along the coastline, with longer fairways to push the strength of your drive. There are other memorable holes that are more than just great scenery. The par 5 4th hole allows a more strategic approach to score well and the par 4 5th, which is laid out across a pronounced natural depression.

East Course

The East Golf Course at Verdura has more undulations than its sister golf course, with some cleverly designed features to throw golfers when playing a round. The first 9 are a surprising challenge, with a short par 4 3rd and early water hazards on the 5th and 6th hole to challenge golfers from start to finish – this course takes no prisoners. However, there are some tricky holes along the back 9 – some of the most memorable holes are the par 3 12th hole with a ridge top to master, and the penultimate holes which take the golfer up and down along the coastline, with a particularly memorable elevated 18th tee along the coastline. With such a range of interesting and fun challenges, and some panoramic views to match, this is certainly a golf course any golfer will love to play.

Since 2019 only 18 holes can be played (until summer 2021). The course represents golfing excellence at Verdura, as it is made up of a number of sea-facing and more challenging holes from both the East and West Course, in order to offer the most exciting and memorable course play as did the European Tour players during the 2012 Sicilian Open.
