Golf Courses

Heritage Golf Club is a Peter Matkovich designed, par-72 championship golf course. It is set right in the heart of the resort, with amazing views of the nearby coastline and lagoon. The golf course itself is of outstanding quality, always in pristine condition, and enjoyable for all levels of golfers.

On arrival, you are welcomed by the sounds of djembes and are invited to immerse yourself in the warm and friendly world of the true Mauritius, where the magic of the place lies in the perfect balance of luxury, simplicity and friendliness. The Hotel has 160 rooms, most of which are deluxe rooms of 52 square metres, and all are equipped with the standard amenities required of a 5-star hotel.

Heritage Awali is ideal for families, couples or groups of friends, and stands out for its exceptional range of services tailored for the enjoyment of young and old. Rooms are spacious and perfectly fitted out, and aside from its fabulous golf course, an array of land and water-based sports are on offer. An exclusive kid’s club is also available for children aged 3 to 11 years, as well as the free 'BB' club for children up to 35 months old.

Restaurant & Bars

Savana is the Heritage Awali’s main restaurant where you can enjoy a buffet breakfast in a laid back setting overlooking shimmering ponds and surrounded by ethnic artwork. At dinner, there is a table d’hôte menu featuring a selection of Mauritian and international dishes. The open-air Amafrooty Restaurant is situated next to the main swimming pool and is open daily for light bites until the early evening and teatime pancakes between 4 and 6 pm. Gourmet seafood dishes and Mauritian specialties are served at the beachside eatery Infinity Blue, the perfect spot for a romantic dinner under the stars. Zafarani is a vibrant new Indian restaurant serving traditional Indian dishes.

 

Guests can also enjoy meals at nine other restaurants within the Domaine de Bel Ombre* including the fine dining establishment Le Château de Bel Ombre and the chic C Beach Club. This elegant restaurant offers a selection of local dishes and the opportunity to step back in time with its unique setting in a 19th Century mansion. In the evening dining is an elegant affair and gentlemen should wear long trousers/smart jeans, collared shirts and closed shoes for dinner. Please note that no shorts, trainers or flip flops will be allowed in bars and restaurants from 7 pm.

 

At the Infinity Blue Cocktail Bar, which sits alongside the Infinity Blue restaurant, you can enjoy refreshing cocktails, tropical juices, and afternoon snacks with the sand between your toes and a breathtaking view of the beach and waters of the Indian Ocean. The zen-like lounge bar Zenzibar has views over pools and to the lagoon and is the ideal spot for a pre or post-dinner drink

Spa & Leisure

When it comes to well-being and relaxation, you can find the Seven Colours Spa, set within the décor of an African village, and spread out over 3,000 square metres. It has 20 treatment rooms, five garden kiosks, two beach kiosks, two steam rooms and one sauna, two hammams, two vichy showers, vitality and chilled pools, a hairdresser and a restaurant that serves “Energy” food.

Location

The resort is located in Domaine de Bel Ombre, on the South-West coastline of the island. It is a 60-minute transfer to Sir Ramgoolam International Airport. The flight time from London is 12 hours with direct flights from British Airways or Air Mauritius.
