Golf Courses

The Legend Golf Course, designed by South African Hugh Baiocchi, is a championship layout, surrounded by water and built to USPGA specifications. It is located right next to the Belle Mare Plage resort and regularly holds a Seniors Tour event. Nature lovers alike can admire herds of Java deer on this course.

The Links Course was opened in 2002, designed by Rodney Wright and Peter Alliss. It is a 5-minute transfer from Belle Mare and is a more undulating layout, set in natural terrain with the course facing the setting sun.

Accommodation

This 5-star resort is located directly on a 2 km white sandy beach, set in tropical gardens of almost 15 hectares. The beach is protected by an offshore coral reef, making it ideal for swimming, water sports, and snorkeling.

The hotel has 278 rooms, suites, and villas. All rooms are comfortably furnished using modern wood and marble. They have a furnished terrace or balcony, air conditioning, bathroom with separate shower/bath/ WC, hairdryer, satellite TV via an Apple Mac Mini system that provides complimentary Wi-Fi, movies, and music on demand. There is a telephone with voicemail, mini bar, individual safe, desk, sitting area, and 24-hour room service. The most popular room type at the hotel is the Junior Suite, either sea-facing or beachfront.

Guests can check-in from 2 pm. Early Check-In & Late Check-Out facilities are available at an additional fee.

Restaurant & Bars

The main buffet restaurant La Citronnelle is open for breakfast and for themed evening buffets in a relaxed atmosphere. A series of open kitchens allow guests to see the chefs creating dishes with different international influences. For fine dining and delicious gourmet cuisine reserve a table at the Blue Penny Cellar à la carte restaurant. Here European dishes are infused with the exotic flavors of Mauritius and can be enjoyed alongside a glass or two of wine chosen from the extensive collection found in the resort’s wine cellar. The secluded beachside restaurant and bar La Spiaggia serves simple yet delicious dinners.

 Overlooking the Legend golf course is the Deer Hunter restaurant where light lunches and traditional Mauritian dinners are served in an open-air setting. The Swing features a terrace that overlooks the fairways of the Links’ golf course. Here you can enjoy light and healthy dishes or a sunset cocktail. Open for lunch are the beachside snack and seafood restaurant Indigo and the laid-back salad bar and grill LAKAZE. Five bars include the peaceful Cocktail Bar, the alfresco The Blu Bar, and the elegant Spiaggia Bar. Those making the most of the free golf can enjoy a pre or post-round drink at the Deer Hunter Bar or The Swing Bar.

There are two spas at Constance Belle Mare Plage, depending on what you are looking for. The “U Spa by” focuses on holistic treatments inspired by the natural elements of the area. Its therapists blend ancient traditions with the latest techniques.

The “Shiseido Spa” specializes in treatments that energize your body and mind, restoring harmony to your senses and rejuvenating your skin.

Other facilities include 4 swimming pools, a kids club, floodlit tennis courts, fitness facilities and the boathouse offers a wide range of complimentary water sports activities.

Location

The resort is located in Poste de Flacq on the North East coast of the Island directly on a 2 km long white sandy beach and set in tropical gardens of almost 15 hectares. Two 18-hole championship golf courses stretch with over 140 hectares. The beach is protected by an offshore coral reef making it ideal for swimming, water sports and snorkeling.

It is a 60- minute transfer to Sir Ramgoolam International Airport, or just a 15-minute helicopter journey. The flight time from London is 12-hours with direct flights from British Airways or Air Mauritius.

Nearby

Venture into Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius for a bit of sightseeing and shopping or take a tour of a local sugar factory. Glass bottom boat trips are also available.
